Most computer repair places won't tell you what anything costs until they've had your machine for a week. I'd rather you know before you call. There are two prices and that's the whole list.
Remote support is $175. You call, I send a link, you click it, and I work on your computer while you watch your own screen. Up to two hours. Good for slow computers, scam popups, email, most software problems, and anything where I don't need to touch the hardware.
A house call is $275. I come to you with what I need. Up to two hours. Printers, Wi-Fi, new computer setup, anything hardware, or any time you'd just rather have a person at the table.
What's not in those numbers. Parts. If something needs a new drive, a cable, or a router, I tell you before anything is bought and what it costs. Most visits need no parts at all. I don't sell computers, so I have no reason to talk you into one.
When you pay. After the work, by credit or debit card. Nothing up front, no deposit. Cards only, no checks or cash. Stripe emails you the receipt. If I can't fix it, I tell you so and you don't pay for the time.
No. Figuring out what's wrong is part of the visit, not a separate charge.
Rare, but it happens with a badly infected machine or a big data move. I stop, tell you where we are, and we schedule a second session at the same flat rate. You're never surprised by a bigger bill.
Drive time and the hour I lose on the road. If the problem can be done remotely I'll say so on the phone and save you the hundred dollars.
No. Same price anywhere I go. The drive is on me.
Yes. I call them when the work is done and take the card over the phone. Stripe emails them the receipt.
Call (803) 265-8088. If I'm under someone's desk, leave a message and I'll call you back the same day.
$175 remote or $275 at your house, up to two hours. Card when it's done.
